Fanm Kreyol, Inc. Expands to Florida International University

Miami, FL – April 24, 2025 – Fanm Kreyol, Inc., a pioneering Haitian woman sisterhood dedicated to empowering Haitian women, is thrilled to announce the official chartering of its newest collegiate chapter at Florida International University (FIU). This historic milestone marks another step forward in the organization's mission to uplift Haitian women and cultivate strong leaders within the community.

The Chartering of the FIU Fanm Kreyol, Inc. Chapter will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. at 11200 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33199. This landmark event will celebrate the expansion of Fanm Kreyol, Inc., further solidifying its presence across Florida’s academic institutions.

Established in 2008 at the University of South Florida, Fanm Kreyol, Inc. has grown to include chapters at Florida Atlantic University and the University of Central Florida, with an active Graduate Community Chapter. The organization has made an indelible impact on the lives of hundreds of Haitian women through leadership development, academic support, professional growth, and community service.

This chartering event will feature an inspirational program, including guest speakers, chapter inductions, and a celebration of Haitian culture. The event is open to students, alumni, community leaders, residents, media, and supporters of Fanm Kreyol, Inc.

Fanm Kreyol, Inc. continues to lead the way in changing HERstory, providing a safe space for Haitian women to grow and thrive beyond cultural norms and expectations. This expansion signifies another pathway to leadership, sisterhood, and empowerment for Haitian women in academia.
